About the role
This is a paid engineering internship you do while you are still studying. You come in around your timetable, work on real systems at Winsen Labs, and keep going through the term rather than disappearing after a project week.
We are running it on-site in Chennai and aiming it at students at College of Engineering, Guindy, Madras Institute of Technology, and IIT Madras. Those campuses are close enough that coming in around lectures is realistic, which is the whole point: the work is better when you are in the room.
> Prerequisite: you are AI native. You use coding agents as part of how you build, while still understanding and checking the code they produce.
What you will do
- Build and improve parts of our AI products and internal systems
- Take a loosely defined problem and turn it into working software
- Test your work against real inputs, edge cases, and failure modes
- Write clear code and document the decisions behind it
- Show what you built and what you learned as you go
What we look for
- Strong programming fundamentals and curiosity about how systems work
- Evidence that you build things outside your coursework
- Comfort learning quickly and asking precise questions
- Care for correctness, clarity, and the people who will use your work
- A schedule that genuinely leaves room for this alongside your degree
Hours and location
Chennai, on-site. Part-time, worked around your college timetable, and paid. We will agree the hours with you rather than hand you a fixed shift: what matters is that they are real and you can keep them through the term.
Eligibility
Aimed at current students at CEG, MIT (Anna University) and IIT Madras. If you are at another college in Chennai and think you are a fit, pick Other on the application and tell us where you study. We read those.
