About the role
We are opening three generalist seats. A generalist at Winsen Labs is exactly what it sounds like: a sharp, fast, AI-native person who does whatever the work needs this week. Research one day, shipping a feature the next, sitting in a customer call the day after, writing the docs that evening.
We hire generalists because the most interesting problems rarely respect job titles, and because the people who can move across the whole stack of a small lab are worth their weight in gold. Tell us where you are strongest and we will build the seat around it.
> Prerequisite: you are AI native. Every one of these seats requires it. You already use AI to do the work of several people, you pick up new tools in an afternoon, and you expect the same of the company around you. This is the one thing none of the three seats will flex on.
What you will do
- Take on whatever is most important and least owned, across research, product, consulting, and ops
- Use AI aggressively to do the work of a much larger team
- Go deep fast on unfamiliar problems, then ship something real
- Move between writing code, writing prose, talking to users, and running process
- Help define what an AI-native lab even looks like as we grow
What we look for
- AI native, no exceptions. You are genuinely faster because of how you work with AI, and you can prove it.
- Range. You have done more than one thing well, and you like it that way.
- A bias to ship. You would rather have something running than something perfect.
- Self-direction. You find the work; nobody hands it to you.
- Bonus: a track record that is hard to put in a single box. That is the point.
